Our Magento rental inventory centers module has been updated to be compatible with our rental system version 1.1, which means it is also compatible with Magento Community Edition 1.8.

Our Magento rental inventory centers module allows you to distribute your rental inventory to different rental warehouses and fulfill the order from the warehouse closest to your customer.

This module will also allow you to view in the admin > orders page what warehouse the order came from, and properly alert the warehouse managers about the order.
