WooCommerce Rental Plugin for Bookings & Real Inventory
A complete WooCommerce rental and booking system: hourly and daily bookings, real rental inventory management with check-out and check-in, seasonal pricing, and rental agreements signed online. It works equally well as a WordPress rental plugin for equipment hire, vehicles, events or clothing — full source code, hosted wherever you like.
Rental inventory management that booking plugins don’t do
Most booking plugins stop at taking a reservation. This WooCommerce rental plugin runs the warehouse side too — stock counts, turnaround time, check-in and check-out.
Rental inventory management, tracked by day and hour
A monthly grid shows availability for up to 100 products at once, so you can see the shortage before a customer finds it. Send and return move stock in and out for real — including early sends and early returns.
- ✓Send & return tracking with full history
- ✓Hourly / time-of-day inventory tracking
- ✓Turnover buffers so gear isn’t rebooked before it is back
Every rental order on one calendar
Pick-ups, returns and overdue items in a single admin view, with rental dates shown right on the WooCommerce order grid. Sync to Google, Apple or Outlook by ICS.
- ✓Orders by date on a calendar
- ✓Rental dates on the order grid
- ✓Shipped, returned, reminder and overdue emails
Serial numbers, barcodes and signed contracts
Track individual units by serial, RFID or QR code and keep a rental history per unit. On Pro, customers sign your agreement at checkout and the PDF is filed against the order.
- ✓Serial number tracking (RFID / QR codes)
- ✓Support for bundles / composite products
- ✓Rental contract PDF generation & online signing

Two plugins that go beyond bookings: legally binding rental contracts signed at checkout, and recurring subscription billing with memberships and a rental queue.
Rental Contract PDF Generation & Online Signing
Have customers sign your rental agreement, waiver, or lease during checkout — no separate document exchange, no paperwork to chase.
- ✓ Typed, touch, or mouse signatures — works on a phone, tablet, laptop, or in-store kiosk
- ✓ Contract terms edited in the admin panel, with variables that insert the customer name and rental details
- ✓ A signed PDF is generated and stored against the order for audits, disputes, and reprints
- ✓ Extendable terms & conditions fields for waivers, damage policies, and insurance acknowledgements
- ✓ Pairs with Pro security deposits and custom checkout fields
Subscriptions, Memberships & Rental Queue
Turn one-off rentals into predictable recurring revenue — automated billing, VIP tiers, and a Netflix-style queue on top of the store you already run.
- ✓ Recurring billing on custom intervals — every X days, weeks, months, or years — plus free trials and one-time signup fees
- ✓ Rental queue with automatic dispatch: a return triggers the next queued item, with per-tier checked-out limits
- ✓ Membership tiers with monthly store-credit allowances and gated access to premium inventory
- ✓ Booking calendar syncs to the billing cycle, so inventory never releases before a renewal is approved
- ✓ Stripe, PayPal, and Braintree with card retries — plus manual B2B invoice, wire, cash, and check
- ✓ Self-service subscriber portal: pause, upgrade, or swap payment cards without a support ticket
- ✓ Full barcode and serial-number scan in / scan out with real-time subscription reporting in wp-admin
Contract signing ships with the Pro license. The subscription, membership, and queue suite installs on top of any WooCommerce Bookings & Tours store — no re-platforming required.
Pro costs $100 more than Regular and includes $697 of add-ons
Every add-on below can be bought on its own for the price shown. Bought that way the same set comes to $896. Pro is $299.
Prices are the checkout price with code 200pro on Pro and 150regular on Regular. Add-ons are listed at their own full price. Support and updates are included for the first year on every licence and renew at $199/year if you want them.

How does WooCommerce compare to Adobe Commerce / Magento 2?
Both platforms are very powerful shopping carts and content management systems. Generally smaller businesses that don’t have multiple locations and that don’t need multi-inventory center tracking will choose WordPress / WooCommerce. Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 is usually for medium – larger sized businesses it is more powerful but a bit more costly to host and customize.
What does it mean that it’s open source, how do I benefit?
This means that all of the source code that is used for the rental system is able to be tweaked and modified. You have no vendor tie-in. Many E-commerce platforms require you to pay a monthly fee and you have no access to the source code for your site, you don’t actually own anything. If they choose to raise the rates you can’t do anything about it. With open source software you own your complete rental system and shopping cart.
- ✓Custom features and rental software development available
- ✓API integration, calendar syncs, ERP integration, new features
- ✓All data stays on your server, hosted wherever you prefer
Feature Highlights, full feature list below
A WooCommerce rental & booking system, not a bolt-on
People search for this in a dozen different ways — a WooCommerce rental plugin, a WordPress rental booking plugin, a WooCommerce rental and booking system, an equipment rental plugin. They are all describing the same job: let customers pick real dates, know what is genuinely free, take the money, and track the item out and back again. That is one system here, not a base plugin plus four paid add-ons.
As an equipment rental plugin
Serial numbers and barcodes on individual units, condition notes on return, refundable security deposits, and turnaround time so a tool that came back Friday is not promised out again Friday afternoon.
As a WordPress rental booking plugin
A live availability calendar on the product page of your own WordPress site, in your own theme, with your own payment gateway. No redirect to a third-party booking page and no per-booking commission.
As a quantity rental system
Two hundred chairs, forty tables, sixty life jackets — stock held as a real count and drawn down per date, so bulk party, event and hire businesses cannot oversell a Saturday.
The same rental engine also runs on Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce if that is your platform, and the whole thing is open source rental software you host and own outright.
A rental plugin is not a booking plugin
This is the single most expensive mistake rental businesses make when choosing WooCommerce software. Booking plugins sell time — an appointment, a table, a class. Rental means a physical thing leaves your premises and has to come back, be cleaned, be checked and go out again. Almost everything that makes rental hard lives in that difference.
| What rental actually requires | A generic booking plugin | Sales Igniter Bookings & Tours |
|---|---|---|
| Same item out and back, over and over | Sells a slot in a diary | Tracks a physical asset through its whole life |
| Availability for a date range | Usually a single date or time slot | Start date, end date, and everything blocked between |
| Turnaround time between hires | Rarely supported | Buffer days or hours before and after every booking |
| Quantity vs serial tracking | A stock number, if anything | 250 chairs by quantity, or each camera by serial and barcode |
| Prices by duration | Flat price per booking | Minute, hour, day, week, month — prorated or flat, with seasonal rates |
| Refundable security deposits | Not typically | Charge and refund, or store a card token and charge only if needed |
| Signed hire agreements | No | PDF contract generated and signed at checkout |
| Check-out and check-in | No | Barcode scan out and back, with filterable history per order and product |
| Late returns and damage | No concept of it | Late fees, damage charges against the stored token |
If you have already tried to make an appointment plugin behave like a rental system, you will recognise every row in that table. Sales Igniter was written for the right-hand column from the beginning — see the full feature list or book something in the live demo.
Own it instead of renting it
Nearly every rental platform on the market is a subscription: you pay every month forever, the software runs on their servers, and your customers and orders live in their database. This plugin is a one-time purchase that installs into a store you already own, with the complete source code included.
| Option | Five-year total | Pricing model |
|---|---|---|
| Sales Igniter — Regular | $995 | $199 once, then $199/year for support and updates |
| Sales Igniter — Pro, renewed yearly | $1,095 | 9 once + 9/year optional support and updates |
| Booqable Grow | $4,140 | $69/month billed annually, before add-ons |
| Checkfront | $5,940 + 3% | $99/month plus 3% of every online booking |
| EZRentOut Growth | ~$23,940 | $399/month for the tier with an online store |
Vendor list prices as published August 2026, read from each vendor’s own pricing page. Excludes negotiated discounts, payment-gateway fees and tax. Sales Igniter figures exclude web hosting, which you provide.
No commission on your bookings at any volume. No per-user fee. No per-location fee. Read more about the open source, self-hosted approach, or see the honest comparisons against Booqable, Checkfront, EZRentOut, Goodshuffle Pro and Twice Commerce.
WooCommerce booking plugin or WooCommerce rental plugin?
The two get used interchangeably, but they solve different problems. If you are searching for a WooCommerce booking plugin and you rent physical stock that comes back, the distinction is the thing that will decide whether the software works for you in month three.
A standard WordPress booking plugin sells a slot in a calendar — an appointment, a table, a class. Once the slot passes, nothing needs to come back. There is no stock to count, nothing to inspect, and no gap needed before the next customer.
A WooCommerce rental plugin has to know that unit 3 of 5 is out until Thursday, that it needs turnaround time before it can go out again, and that a deposit is being held against it. That is inventory over time, not just a calendar entry.
You get the booking calendar and availability a booking plugin gives you, plus per-day and per-hour stock tracking, turnaround buffers, serial numbers, refundable deposits and signed rental agreements. Book tours and appointments with it, or rent out a fleet — the same WordPress rental plugin covers both.
