Bike rental software that knows sizes, hours and batteries
Hourly, half-day, daily and weekly rates on the same bike. Frame sizes that sell out on their own. E-bikes that can’t go back out until they’re charged. Built for WooCommerce and Magento 2.
Hourly to weekly rates on the same bike, sizes that sell out on their own, and e-bikes held back until they’re charged.
- Hourly to weekly on one bike
- Sizes as real stock
- E-bike charging buffers

Generic booking plugins break on the first sunny Saturday
They assume one price per day and a pool of identical stock. A bike shop that rents runs two clocks at once: hourly and half-day hires turn the same bikes over several times a day, while touring hires take a bike away for a fortnight.
Hourly and daily on the same bike
A two-hour seafront ride, a full day, a weekend and a week all apply to the same hybrid, and the price follows the times chosen, not a fixed daily rate.
The price follows the times chosen.
Size is the product
A 54 cm road bike being out doesn’t mean the 58 cm is. The XS is often the one that sells out, and a customer who books "a bike" and gets the wrong size hasn’t been served.
Each size has its own stock and calendar.
E-bikes need a charge
A battery back at 4 pm isn’t ready at 4 pm. Motor bikes also carry a higher deposit and a different waiver.
A buffer holds each bike back until it’s ready.
Tracked by frame number
Which bike went out matters when one comes back with a bent derailleur, when a recall lands, or when a bike is stolen and the police ask for the serial.
A hire history for every e-bike.
Add-ons on every order
Helmets, locks, panniers, child seats and trailers go out with the bike, sometimes as counted stock and sometimes as free extras.
Helmets, locks and child seats go out on the same order.
Seasonal and same-day
Most hires are booked within a day of riding, the season goes from empty to sold out in a month, and walk-ins share the same bikes as online bookings.
Walk-ins and online bookings share the same bikes.
Hourly, half-day, daily and weekly rates on one bike
| Period | Price | Works out |
|---|---|---|
| 2 hours | $24.00 | $12.00 / hour |
| 4 hours | $38.00 | $9.50 / hour |
| 1 day | $55.00 | $55.00 / day |
Each bike model carries hourly, daily, weekly and monthly rates at once, and the engine picks the right one from the dates and times the customer chooses: a two-hour hire is priced by the hour, a Friday-to-Sunday hire by the day, and a fortnight’s touring hire by the week. Fixed slots such as half-day and full-day work too, which is how most seafront and city hire is sold.
The calendar respects your opening hours: a hire can’t start before you open or run past closing, and closed days can’t be picked. Peak pricing by date covers school holidays and event weekends, a minimum hire length stops a road bike being booked for twenty minutes, and guided tours run as fixed departures. See the full rental feature list.
Sizes as real stock, not a dropdown
A hybrid in XS, S, M, L and XL is one product with five variations. Each size has its own stock, its own availability and, if you want, its own price. When the mediums are out, medium shows as booked while the other sizes stay bookable, so the customer gets an answer to the question they came with: is my size free on Saturday morning?
Kids’ bikes work the same way by wheel size, and the same model carries e-bike battery capacity or motor class where you rent more than one spec.
Every e-bike tracked, and never out on a flat battery
Keep identical city bikes, helmets and locks on simple quantities, and track e-bikes and high-value road and mountain bikes by frame number, each with its own hire history: which rider, which dates, and what came back damaged. You can mix both in one catalogue, add bikes for the summer and retire them after it, and take a single frame out of the pool for a service without touching the rest.
A turnaround buffer sits between hires, per product, in hours or days. With two hours on the e-bikes, a bike back at 4 pm is next offered at 6 pm, after a charge and a check; thirty minutes on the city bikes covers a wipe-down and a tyre check. Barcode or QR labels let staff scan each bike out and back in, and the Usage Report shows which models and sizes earn their keep and which not to reorder next spring.
Add-ons, waivers, ID and deposits in one checkout
Helmets, locks and lights go on the same order as priced or free options Pro. Child seats and trailers can be stock of their own, counted per date like the bikes, so you can’t book more seats than you own, and delivery to a hotel or holiday let can be a charge of its own with the address on the order.

Refundable damage deposits
Hold a deposit per bike or per order at checkout, through your own payment gateway, and release it after the bike is scanned back in and passed.
Signed waivers and hire terms
The rider signs your liability waiver and hire terms during checkout. A PDF with their signature is attached to the order and emailed. Writing your terms from scratch? Start from our free bike rental contract template.
Rider details, ID and damage waiver
Ask for rider height for the size, a photo of ID, an emergency contact and where they’re staying, and make the ones that matter required. ID uploads are kept out of the public uploads folder and purged on a schedule, and a damage waiver can stand in for a bigger deposit. About custom fields and ID checks.

Run it on WooCommerce or Magento 2
The same rental engine on both. We sell both, so the choice is yours.
WooCommerce bike rental plugin
The right fit for most bike shops, seafront hire stands and touring operators. If your site already runs WordPress, it becomes a bike booking system without rebuilding the storefront.
- Sell parts, clothing and accessories alongside the hire bikes from one catalogue
- Hourly to weekly rates, fixed slots and opening hours
- Sizes as variations with their own stock
- Frame-number tracking with charging buffers
- Helmets and locks as options, waivers signed at checkout and refundable deposits Pro
- Commuter and club memberships through the Subscriptions plugin Pro
Magento 2 bike rental extension
For multi-location hire networks, resorts and city schemes on Adobe Commerce or Magento Open Source.
- Multi-source inventory per shop or hire station, so a bike booked at one isn’t sold at another
- Customer-group pricing for hotels, tour companies and corporate schemes
- Request for Quote for group and event hires (sold separately)
- The same sizes, serials, buffers, deposits and signed waivers (Pro)
- Multi-store and multi-language for operators in several resorts or countries
Not sure which platform fits? Our Magento versus WooCommerce comparison sets out the trade-offs, and bikes are one of the trades in our rental software by industry overview.

Bike rental software FAQs
Can the same bike be rented by the hour and by the day?
Yes. Each product carries hourly, daily, weekly and monthly rates, and the engine picks the right one from the times chosen. You can also offer fixed slots such as half-day and full-day, and the calendar respects your opening hours and closed days.
How do I handle frame sizes?
Sizes are variations of one product with their own stock, price and availability. When the mediums are out, medium shows as unavailable while the other sizes stay bookable.
Can I stop an e-bike going out before it’s charged?
Yes. Set a turnaround buffer after the hire on the e-bike, in hours. The calendar takes that time off sale by itself, so the bike can’t go out again until it has been charged and checked.
Can I track each bike by its frame number?
Yes. Serial numbers are built in, with a full hire history per bike. Use serials for e-bikes and high-value bikes and simple quantities for the city bikes, in the same catalogue.
Can customers sign a waiver and upload ID when they book?
Yes. The Contract Signing plugin takes a signature at checkout and stores the PDF against the order, and the Custom Fields plugin takes rider details, an ID photo and an optional damage waiver. Both come with Pro.
Can I run more than one shop?
Yes, with the Multi Location Inventory plugin: each shop keeps its own bikes, the customer picks where to pick up and drop off, and a one-way hire can carry a fee. The demo’s three shops charge $10 to leave a bike at another one.
Can regulars pay for a membership?
Yes. The Subscriptions plugin, included in Pro, runs a monthly commuter plan or a club membership, billed automatically to a stored card.
Is there a monthly fee or a commission on bookings?
No. It installs on your own WooCommerce or Magento 2 site on a one-time licence, and your bookings and rider data stay in your own database. See our self-hosted, open-source rental software overview.
