The order is a stay with an arrival and a departure, the gear has to be spotless and provably safe, and the family is landing in a city they don’t know. A general booking plugin handles none of that.
Booked against the trip
Parents book weeks ahead, from another country, at midnight, on a phone. They need to see a clean cot and a car seat free for their exact dates and pay there and then.

Each item carries a day rate and a week rate at once, and the engine picks the right one from the arriving and leaving dates: a weekend is priced by the day and a fortnight by the week. Special prices can sit on school holidays and peak weeks, and monthly rates cover families who stay for a season.

Delivered to the hotel, the rental or the airport
The arriving and leaving dates are the booking, and a delivery time slot sits in the date picker, grouped into morning, afternoon and evening. The address, the hotel name and the flight number go on the order Pro, and the day’s drops and collections come off the Send & Return desk as a pick list for the driver.
Delivery can be a WooCommerce shipping charge by zone, or a priced option on the product such as an out-of-hours drop or an airport meet Pro. A reminder by email, SMS or WhatsApp goes to the family before the drop.
Every item sanitised and checked before the next family
A turnaround buffer after each rental, in hours or days, holds the item off the calendar while it’s washed, inspected and re-packed, so the calendar never promises what the store room can’t deliver. Car seats and cots can be tracked by serial number, each with its own rental history, and scanned out and back in.
Age and weight bands are variations of one product, each with its own stock. When the 0–13 kg seats are gone for a family’s week, the calendar says so before they book, while the 9–25 kg seats stay available.
Child details, deposits and signed terms in one checkout
Ask the questions that decide what goes on the van. Fields asked on the product page belong to that cart line, so two car seats on one booking record two children, two weights and two fitting stages.

The child’s details
Ask for the child’s age in months, weight and height, rear- or forward-facing, and the car the seat goes in. Required fields block add to cart, so no order arrives without the measurement you need, and in-car fitting can be a priced option. About custom fields for baby gear hire.
Refundable deposits
Charge a deposit at checkout and refund it on return, or keep the card as a secure token and charge it only if something comes back broken or missing. A decline-able damage waiver from the Custom Fields plugin can sit on travel systems and monitors instead.
A signed hire agreement
The parent signs your hire agreement, covering safety and liability, during checkout. The PDF is attached to the order and emailed with their confirmation.
Plans for longer stays
Families staying for months can subscribe instead: a monthly plan keeps the cot or high chair with them, billed to a stored card.
The driver’s pick list
The Send & Return desk lists the day’s drops and collections, and staff scan each item out on delivery and back in on collection.
Reminders before the drop
Delivery and collection reminders go out by email, SMS or WhatsApp, so the family knows when to be at the front desk.

Can I deliver to a hotel or holiday let instead of the family collecting?
Yes. The delivery address and a time slot go on the order, delivery can be charged by zone or as a priced option, and the day’s drops and collections come off the Send & Return desk as a pick list for the driver.
Does it handle cleaning and safety-check time between rentals?
Yes. Set a turnaround buffer on each item, in hours or days, and that window is held out of availability automatically, so nothing is offered to the next family before it has been cleaned and checked.
Can I hold separate stock for different age or weight bands?
Yes. Make the item a variable product and each band holds its own availability, so a 0–13 kg infant seat and a 9–25 kg convertible seat are counted as the different pieces of stock they are.
Can families hire a package of several items?
Yes. Put the cot, high chair and stroller together with WooCommerce Product Bundles or Composite Products, or a bundle product on Magento 2. The family books one package, and each piece inside still draws down its own stock.
Can I take a deposit against damage or loss?
Yes, with the Security Deposits plugin in Pro: charge it at checkout and refund it on return, or store a card token and charge only if something comes back damaged or missing. The Contract Signing plugin has the parent sign your hire agreement as a PDF at checkout.
Can I price a two-week rental differently from a two-day one?
Yes. Rates are entered by day, week or month, and the engine picks the right one from the dates. Special pricing can sit on school holidays and peak weeks.
Is there a limit on products, staff accounts or orders?
No. The licence is per site, with no charge per product, per user or per location.
Do you take a percentage of each booking?
