Why use it

Deliveries outgrow a whiteboard fast

Delivering your own orders takes more than a shipping rate. Someone has to choose the days, fill the trucks and prove it arrived.

Planning by hand

  • Calling customers to agree a delivery day
  • Too many orders on one day and none on the next
  • Addresses copied into a map one by one
  • Paper sheets and no proof of delivery

With SI Delivery Routing

  • Customers pick from the days you offer, in the cart
  • Stops per day and slot capacity stop a day from overfilling
  • Stops come straight from your Shopify orders
  • Drivers take a signature and photos on their phone
How it works

Six steps to a delivered stop

The guide on the app’s Home page takes you through them.

1
Confirm your orders

Local delivery, named shipping rates or an order tag become stops.

2
Set your days

Days, time slots, areas and cut-offs.

3
Add vehicles and drivers

A link or QR code signs each driver in.

4
Add the day picker

A cart block, and an app embed for cart drawers.

5
Plan and send

Build the day on the Schedule, or with Plan the day on Regular and up, and send it to your drivers.

6
Drivers deliver

They work the stops and take proof, and the order updates.

For your customers

For your drivers

Drivers open a link, add it to their home screen and start their route.

A web app on any phone

Start route, Navigate, Call, Text, On my way and Arrived.

Simple sign-in

A link or QR code, and they stay signed in for 30 days.

FAQ

Questions about SI Delivery Routing

When can I install it?

We don’t have a date yet. The app still has its live store test to pass, and then it goes to the Shopify App Store for review.

Do I need Rentals & Bookings?

No. The app works for any store that delivers.

Do drivers need to download an app, and is there a per-driver fee?

No to both. Drivers use a web page they add to their home screen. There is no per-driver fee: drivers are included in the plan, 1 on Free, 2 on Regular, 5 on Pro and unlimited on Ultimate.

Do I need Shopify Plus?

No. Only a block inside the checkout shipping step needs Plus, and that block is on Ultimate.

Which orders become stops?

Orders with local delivery, named shipping rates or an order tag. You can leave out products or collections.

Can customers pick a day and time?

Yes, in the cart. Full days are marked, time slots show how many places are left, and a pick is held for 30 minutes.

What is the vehicle limit?

One on Free, 2 on Regular, 5 on Pro and unlimited on Ultimate. Vehicles are a firm limit. Stops are only limited on Free, and they are never refused.

What proof can drivers take?

A name, a signature, a note and up to 3 photos. Proof is kept for 180 days by default.

Does it work offline?

Stop updates wait in a queue while the phone is offline.

Can it send texts?

Not yet. Texts through your own Twilio account are built for Ultimate and stay off until we have tested them.
