Start Your Rental Store From a Theme Made for Your Industry
Starting a rental store from a blank page is slow. Pick the theme for your kind of business, from boats and bikes to party tents and holiday homes. Import it, and your WooCommerce shop gets sample products with their rental settings, a homepage, page sections, and colours and fonts to match. Then change anything you like.
Free with the Rentals & Bookings Lite plugin 1.0.11 or newer, which imports everything except the date search on the homepage. Regular and Pro 1.0.74 or newer add the search widget.
Boat Rentals on a desktop and Vacation Stays on a phone, both from the live demo. The shop names on the demo are made up; you type your own when you import.
What’s in Each Theme
Each theme is an industry kit: one .zip file that Rentals & Bookings imports. Tick the parts you want; nothing is added until you click Import theme.
Sample products
Six or seven per theme, with prices, rental settings and photos you may use in your shop.
Homepage and page sections
Block patterns that work with any theme, and a homepage built from them, ready to edit.
Colours and fonts
Applied to Astra, or added as a style for block themes such as Twenty Twenty-Five. Fonts load from your own site, not from Google.
Calendar and search presets
The date picker in your industry’s words, such as Check in and Check out, or Event date. With Regular or Pro, the search form too.

Your industry is not here?
Start from the closest theme and change its words, products and colours, or tell us what you rent and we will consider a theme for it.
Request a themeSave your own set-up as a kit
Rentals › Settings › Advanced › Theme Import / Export (Export Theme tab) saves your shop’s set-up as a .zip, to import on a second store or a staging copy.
How import and export workEvery theme also works with the rest of Rentals & Bookings, such as SMS and WhatsApp reminders, the Send & Return desk, the Rentals Dashboard and the REST API.
Download the Free Rental Themes
Free, with no licence key: enter your email once to download, or log in if you are a customer. Import them with the free Lite plugin 1.0.11 or newer, or with Regular or Pro 1.0.74 or newer.
Pick a theme, or take all 16
The download page shows every theme with its picture. Enter your email once, or log in if you are a customer, and each one has a Download zip button. Each theme is one .zip file: upload it as it is.
Choose and downloadAll 16 also come in one zip (18 MB) on the same page. Don’t have Lite yet? Get it free.
How to import a theme
In WordPress go to Rentals › Settings › Advanced › Theme Import / Export, open the Import Theme tab, choose the theme’s zip, click Upload theme, tick what you want and click Import theme.
Lite imports everything except the homepage’s date search, which Regular and Pro add. Importing again never duplicates anything, and Remove theme content takes away only what you have not changed.
Four Themes Ready for More Than One Location
On the live demo, the car, bike, trailer and equipment themes run with the Multi Location Inventory plugin for WooCommerce. The search asks where the customer picks up and returns, each location keeps its own stock, and a one-way fee shows before they book.
Car & Motorcycle Hire
Pick-up branch · Return branch
Three branches, each with its own cars and opening hours. Returning to another branch adds a $25 drop-off fee.
See it live (opens the Car & Motorcycle Hire demo in a new tab)Bike Rentals
Pick-up shop · Drop-off shop
Three shops along the trail. Leave the bike at another shop for a $10 drop-off fee.
See it live (opens the Bike Rentals demo in a new tab)Trailer & Campervan Hire
Pick-up depot · Return depot
One-way trips are priced by the distance between depots: $0.35 a kilometre, from $49.
See it live (opens the Trailer & Campervan Hire demo in a new tab)Equipment Rental
Pick-up yard
Each machine is based at one of three yards and goes back to the yard it came from.
See it live (opens the Equipment Rental demo in a new tab)
Locations, stock per location and one-way fees come from the Multi Location Inventory plugin, sold on its own or in the Pro + Multi Location Inventory package. A theme does not create locations: you add your own under Rentals → Locations. Without the plugin, these four themes work as single-location shops.
A Working Rental Store, Not a Blank Page
A new WooCommerce rental store starts with an empty shop. A theme starts you with products, pages and settings you edit into your own.
Starting from a blank store
- Every product and its rental settings typed in from scratch.
- A date picker and search form that say Start date and End date.
- A homepage, colours and fonts still to design.
- Photos to find, and to check you may use them.
Starting from a rental theme
- Sample products with prices and rental settings, ready to edit.
- The search and calendar in your customers’ words, such as Check in, Event date or Departure.
- Page sections built from WordPress blocks. Colours and fonts apply to Astra and to block themes; other themes keep their own.
- Photos made for the themes, with a licence list in every kit.
Import a Theme in Four Steps
No theme to install and no code: the importer is part of every edition of Rentals & Bookings, the free Lite plugin included.
Upload it
In WordPress, go to Rentals › Settings › Advanced › Theme Import / Export, open the Import Theme tab and upload the zip.
Choose what to import
Tick the parts you want, and type your shop’s name for the page sections.
Import
A report lists everything that was added. Edit it like the rest of your content.
Changed your mind?
Import again, and only what you have not edited is updated, never duplicated. Remove theme content deletes only what you have not changed: products with orders or bookings always stay, and your calendar, search and theme settings go back to how they were.
Save your own set-up as a kit
Rentals › Settings › Advanced › Theme Import / Export (Export Theme tab) saves your shop’s set-up as a .zip: the Calendar Styler settings (and the Search Builder’s, with Regular or Pro), your theme’s colours and fonts, and the products of the categories you choose, with their rental settings. Import it on another site, such as a second store or a staging copy.
Photos you may share
Photos go into an exported kit only when you say where they come from and that you may share them.
What You Need
The themes are free, and so is the importer that reads them.
Rentals & Bookings Lite 1.0.11 or newer, free
The importer is under Rentals › Settings › Advanced › Theme Import / Export (Import Theme tab). Lite imports everything except the homepage’s date search; Regular and Pro 1.0.74 or newer add the search widget.
WordPress 6.6, WooCommerce 8.0 and PHP 8.1 or newer
The same as Rentals & Bookings itself.
Any WordPress theme
Page sections are core WordPress blocks. Colours and fonts apply to Astra and to block themes such as Twenty Twenty-Five; other themes keep their own.
Multi Location Inventory, only for locations
For pick-up and return branches, shops, depots or yards. Every theme works without it. About the plugin.
Frequently Asked
Are the themes really free?
Yes. The themes are free, and so is the importer: the free Rentals & Bookings Lite plugin 1.0.11 or newer imports them under Rentals › Settings › Advanced › Theme Import / Export (Import Theme tab). Lite imports everything in a theme except the date search on its homepage; Regular and Pro 1.0.74 or newer add that search widget. See Regular and Pro pricing.
Where do I get the theme files?
From the theme download page. Enter your email once (customers just log in), then pick one or download all 16 in one zip. Each card on this page links to its theme there. Each theme is one .zip file; upload it as it is, without unpacking it. Try them first if you like: every theme runs on the live demo.
What is different with the free Lite plugin?
Only the date search. Lite imports the sample products with their prices and rental settings, the categories, the page sections, the homepage, the calendar colours and labels, and the colours and fonts. The homepage’s search card is left out and the headline keeps its place, so nothing looks missing. Regular and Pro add the search widget, and re-importing the theme after an upgrade puts it on the homepage.
Will a theme replace my WordPress theme?
No. A rental theme is a kit of content and settings, not a WordPress theme. It adds sample products, block patterns and a homepage and, if you tick them, colours and fonts for Astra or a style for a block theme. The WordPress theme you use stays active.
What happens to my own products and pages?
Nothing changes unless you tick it. A sample product whose slug your shop already uses is left alone, never overwritten. The imported homepage only becomes your front page if you tick “Also make it my homepage”.
Can I undo an import?
Yes. Import again, and only what you have not edited is updated, never duplicated. Remove theme content deletes only what you have not changed: products with orders or bookings always stay, and your calendar, search and theme settings go back to how they were.
Does a theme include everything on the live demo?
The homepage, products, calendar, colours and fonts, yes, and the search form with Regular or Pro. A few things on the demo belong to the demo, not the theme: the holiday-stay page with its photo mosaic and reservation card, the car and boat cards on the shop pages, and the switcher that changes the look. Branches, shops, depots and yards come from the Multi Location Inventory plugin, and you add your own locations.
Can I use the photos in my shop?
Yes. The photos were made for the themes (AI-generated for us, or our own illustrations), and each kit’s LICENSES.md lists every image and font with its licence. Purely AI-generated images may not be protected by copyright, so others may use similar images.
Do the themes load anything from Google or another server?
No. The fonts are installed on your own site from the kit, and nothing is requested from Google Fonts or any other server.
