[two_thirds] The Card Swipe Reader magento extension allows you to connect a Magtek or similar credit card reader via USB to your computer and swipe credit cards. The Credit card type, number, expiration month and year will be auto-filled into the admin create order form fields. This module is basically an adaptation of the excellent work by Carl Raymond and his jQuery card swipe plugin. We have adapted it to work with magento.
The Card Swipe Reader for Magento features the following:
- Compatible with most USB card swipe readers that have keyboard mode
- It is possible to add support for other card formats in the future, we plan on adding support for driver’s license swiping to save data entry time for in store orders
