Release notes for Maintenance (salesigniter/releasemaintenance2), the add-on for the workshop: a maintenance ticket takes rental units out of availability while they are serviced or repaired, with a board, technicians, check-in tickets, service schedules, checklists, costs, damage charges and reports. It is included with Rental Booking Pro. For the rental extension itself, see the Rental Booking (Core) Release Notes.

Version 2.0.1 Released October 15, 2026 #
  • FixSeeing statuses and technicians is not changing them. Two new permissions under Maintenance in System > Permissions > User Roles: Add, edit and delete statuses and Add, edit and switch off technicians. A role without them sees both pages read-only. setup:upgrade gives them to every role that could open those pages, so nothing changes until you take them away
  • FixThe board’s "Downtime this month" tile, the rental dashboard card and Maintenance Work > Reports > Utilisation give the same downtime share (they used two different bases). The tile says what it is a share of and links the report
  • CompatibilityRequires version 1.2.216 or later of the rental extension
Version 2.0.0 Released October 12, 2026 #
  • Upgrade noteA new version: read this before updating. Maintenance 2.0 requires Rental Booking 1.2.216 or later; update both together. Your version 1 tickets stay in their own tables, untouched, until you bring them over: run bin/magento salesigniter:maintenance:import --dry-run to see what would come over (a CSV report), then --apply; salesigniter:maintenance:import:rollback undoes it. While version 1 tickets wait, the Maintenance settings page shows an Import from version 1 link. Technicians and permissions come over by themselves: roles that could open tickets can also create and close them. Version 1.2.54 was never released; its changes are part of this version
  • New featureTickets for units. A ticket takes units (serial numbers, or a quantity) out of rentals for exactly the days it needs, by the same rules as our WooCommerce and Shopify editions, and its conflict panel shows which bookings the hold leaves short. Each ticket has a status, priority, technician, timeline, comments and photos; a unit can be written off from its ticket
  • New featureOne board for the workshop. The Maintenance menu has two headings, Maintenance Work (Tickets, Services, Reports) and Maintenance Setup (Checklists, Parts, Vendors, Technicians, Statuses, Settings). Tickets opens a board with Open, Overdue, Waiting, Done and Mine tabs, status and priority filters, tiles for services due, downtime and cost this month, and a CSV export
  • New feature"Needs service" at check-in. The Return grid, Scan Returns and the GraphQL returns can send a unit straight to the workshop with a note; the ticket opens held from the return
  • New featureService schedules (Maintenance Work > Services, replacing the automated schedules): service a product or a unit every so many days, rentals or days on rent, or by a meter reading. Due units show on the board, the product page and the Send screen, which can warn or refuse to send an overdue unit
  • New featureChecklists at check-out and check-in, on the serial reading sets: a failed answer opens a ticket or joins the unit’s open one
  • New featureCustomers can report a problem from the order in My Account (Luma and Hyvä) or over GraphQL; the report opens a ticket marked Reported
  • New featureCosts and damage charges. Add parts from your parts list (taken off its stock), labour with a timer, vendor work with the invoice and other costs, and mark what the customer may be charged. Charge the customer through the rental’s late-fee routes (kept from the deposit, the saved card or a pay link), record a counter payment or waive it; the deposit’s automatic release waits while a charge is undecided
  • New featureReports (Maintenance Work > Reports): cost per item, downtime, utilisation impact, service compliance and problems, each with a CSV export, plus a card on the rental dashboard
  • New featureEmails for a daily digest, overdue tickets, failed inspections, technician assignments and customer reports; CSV import of parts and service schedules; and a GraphQL API for tickets, costs, parts, vendors, damage charges, reports and services (version 1’s operations keep working)
  • CompatibilityRequires version 1.2.216 or later of the rental extension
Version 1.2.53 Released October 5, 2026 #
  • FixSecurity: the serial number lookup on the ticket screen builds its database query from checked values only
  • FixSecurity: every Maintenance admin screen checks its own permission. The template and automated-schedule screens were open to any admin user
  • ImprovementTranslations completed in every language; text that is not translated yet shows in English
  • ChangeRelease downloads no longer include tests and developer notes
  • Upgrade noteRequires version 1.2.206 or later of the rental extension
Version 1.2.52 Released September 24, 2026 #
  • FixMarking a maintenance ticket Complete now releases its stock in one save. Saving a ticket with a status that does not reserve inventory, such as Complete, used to leave its hold on the old dates, so the units stayed unavailable until the original end date unless the ticket was first saved as In Progress. Now the hold is removed and the ticket’s serial numbers become available straight away, the same as a ticket closed through the GraphQL API
  • New featureUninstall support. bin/magento module:uninstall --remove-data now removes the maintenance tables, the maintenance settings, and the extension’s permissions and scheduled jobs. It first gives back what tickets held in the rental extension: their stock reservations and the serial numbers they had put on hold. See Uninstall or Disable
  • Upgrade noteRequires version 1.2.206 or later of the rental extension
Version 1.2.50 Released September 21, 2026 #
  • FixThe extension installs on a new store again. On an empty database setup:install stopped with a "Cannot drop index" database error when it reached this extension
  • FixUpgrading from a release older than November 2020 keeps every ticket’s status. The upgrade could stop with a duplicate column error, or leave tickets without a status, which would have stopped their maintenance windows blocking the product
  • ChangeThe database tables are now created from the extension’s declared schema alone; the old install and upgrade scripts are gone
  • ImprovementTranslations. The extension’s text ships in 19 languages: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Chinese (Simplified), Hindi, Arabic, Russian, Turkish, Romanian, Polish, Japanese and Korean, plus Swiss German, French and Italian
  • ChangeThe separate version row is gone from the extension’s settings group. Its version is listed in the one Sales Igniter Version row the rental extension shows for every installed Sales Igniter extension
Version 1.2.49 Released September 15, 2026 #
  • OptimizationIndexes on what the maintenance tickets grid filters by: status, start and end dates, and the linked reservation
  • ChangeThe ticket tables are now described in the extension’s declared database schema, so every store ends up with the same structure. Stores upgraded through the old scripts gain the ticket-to-product link a new installation already had
Version 1.2.48 Released September 13, 2026 #
  • New featureA GraphQL API for maintenance tickets: list, read, create, update and delete tickets, gated by the same admin permission as the tickets screen. A ticket whose status reserves inventory holds its quantity and the serial numbers named on it; moving it to a status that does not, or deleting it, gives both back. A serial number that is unknown for the product, already on another open ticket or out on a rental is refused. See Maintenance Tickets in the GraphQL API docs
  • Upgrade noteThe maintenance ticket fields of the GraphQL API live in the Maintenance extension, and this release requires version 1.2.198 or newer of the rental extension
