Release notes for Request for Quote & Hide Price (salesigniter/releaserfq2, with salesigniter/releaserfqrental2 for rental stores and salesigniter/hyvarfq for Hyvä), the extension that lets customers ask for a quote instead of buying at once, and hides prices where you choose. It works with or without the rental extension and is sold separately with its own licence. See Install Request for Quote & Hide Price to install it, and the Rental Booking (Core) Release Notes for the rental extension itself.

Version 1.0.3 Released October 12, 2026 #
  • ImprovementAdd to Quote sits beside Rent in the rental calendar’s booking bar (Rental 1.2.216); where a hidden price takes Rent away, Add to Quote is the bar’s button. Luma and Hyvä
  • ImprovementA guest who may not see a price gets a way to log in instead of a dead end
  • FixIn the cart, Move to Quote stays in the items column, with room around it on phones; on Hyvä tablets and phones Add to Quote keeps its words
  • New featureSales > Quote Request Settings opens the Request for Quote settings, which now start with a License and version block
  • ChangeSettings labels in sentence case ("Expiry and reminders", "Staff notifications", "Customer emails", "Sales reps"); "Discounts apply to the deposit and damage waiver" shows only with Deposits & Damage Waiver
  • Upgrade noteUpdate the three packages together (composer update salesigniter/releaserfq2 salesigniter/releaserfqrental2 salesigniter/hyvarfq), then run bin/magento setup:upgrade and the other setup commands again. The booking bar needs Rental 1.2.216
Version 1.0.2 Released October 6, 2026 #
  • New featureDelete quote carts and drafts is its own permission (System > Permissions > User Roles, under Quote Requests); until now Create and edit also allowed deleting. Staff without it no longer see Delete on a quote or in the grid’s mass actions. setup:upgrade gives it to every role that has Create and edit
  • FixA rental quote’s totals show the security deposit and the damage waiver as their own rows, so the rows add up to the total, in My Quotes, the admin quote page, the emails, the PDF and GraphQL; they stay hidden while the quote’s prices are hidden
  • FixA product whose price is hidden no longer shows "Your total appears here" under the rental calendar; it shows the hidden-price text, Luma and Hyvä
  • FixGraphQL: a quote line’s deposit and waiver have no value while the quote’s prices are hidden
  • FixRental dates in the admin no longer move with the store’s time zone. The quote page’s Rental panel, the quote holds on the Rentals Dashboard and the Rental start / Rental end columns of Sales > Quote Requests showed a rental from Oct 16 to Oct 18 as Oct 16, 5:30 AM to Oct 19, 5:29 AM in a store in India, and a day early in a store west of UTC. They now show the dates the customer picked, and the Rental start / Rental end filters find quotes by those dates (rental stores, salesigniter/releaserfqrental2)
  • FixA quote’s stock hold shows "Until" the offer’s current expiry, also after you extend the expiry of an approved offer (it kept the expiry from the moment the stock was held). The hold’s expires_at in the GraphQL API follows the same rule
  • FixTwo help texts under Stores > Configuration > Sales Igniter > Request for Quote read correctly again: the example paths under General > Storefront URL key, and the variable list under PDF > Template (HTML), which showed as "Variables: , , ," and now lists every {{var ...}} the template takes
  • FixOne setup:upgrade installs Request for Quote, also with --keep-generated. Run that way without bin/magento module:enable first, Magento created none of the extension’s tables (it keeps the module list it started with for that step), so the first run stopped in the rental bridge’s data patch and a second run was needed. The module:enable step is no longer required
  • FixThe License panel (Stores > Configuration > Sales Igniter > Request for Quote > License) accepts your Request for Quote licence key: it called every Request for Quote key "Not a Magento license". The fix is in Sales Igniter Common 1.2.58 and later; run composer update salesigniter/releasecommon2 to get it
  • Upgrade noteUpdate the three packages together, as the install page shows (composer update salesigniter/releaserfq2 salesigniter/releaserfqrental2 salesigniter/hyvarfq), then run bin/magento setup:upgrade and the other setup commands again
Version 1.0.0 Released September 28, 2026 #
  • New featureFirst release of Request for Quote & Hide Price for Magento 2 (salesigniter/releaserfq2), our own request for quote extension. Customers add products to a quote instead of the cart, from product, category and search pages, widgets, the wishlist or the shopping cart (Move to Quote), with a price they would like to pay and a note per line. You edit the quote on Magento’s own Create New Order page – fixed prices or percent off per line, a discount, surcharge or target total for the whole quote, shipping and an expiry date – and send an offer. The customer checks out at the agreed price, from My Quotes or from the link in the email, and guests can do it without an account. See Install Request for Quote & Hide Price
  • New featureHide prices and quote-only products. Hide the price and the Add to Cart button by customer group, category or product, replace them with Add to Quote, a link or a short "Get a quote" form, or make a product quote-only. It is enforced on the server: a hidden price is left out of pages, listings, search, widgets and GraphQL, and the cart refuses the product even when someone posts to it directly. A product’s own Price and Add to Cart settings work whether or not the store rule is switched on
  • New featureSales > Quote Requests in the admin: a grid with mass actions, a page per quote with the conversation, attachments, status history and every version of the offer, Convert to Order, Clone as Quote from an order, Create Quote from a customer’s cart, custom quote fields, a Quote Requests report, staff permissions per action, a quote PDF, and emails for every step with reminders before an offer expires
  • New featureRental stores install the rental bridge (salesigniter/releaserfqrental2) as well: quotes carry rental dates, the admin editor gets the same date pickers as order create, stock can be held for a quote while the customer decides and moves onto the order when they check out, and rental prices, deposits and the damage waiver follow the hide price rules
  • New featureA GraphQL API for headless stores and integrations, a Hyvä storefront (salesigniter/hyvarfq), and an importer that brings quotes over from Amasty Request a Quote. The two extensions can run side by side while you move
  • Upgrade noteSold separately with its own licence ($299, then $149/year for updates and support); it is not part of Pro or Multi Source Inventory Pro, and it has its own composer repository, shown on the install page. It needs Common 1.2.57 (salesigniter/releasecommon2), which composer installs with it. Run bin/magento module:enable for the new modules before setup:upgrade, as the install page shows
  • CompatibilityMagento Open Source and Adobe Commerce 2.4.7 to 2.4.9, PHP 8.2 to 8.4, Luma and Hyvä. The rental bridge needs the rental extension 1.2.209 or later. The Amasty RFQ Integration is a separate product and stays supported
