Live Chat & AI Agent: WooCommerce and EDD purchases

When a customer asks about their order or their licence, you see the answer next to the chat. With WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads on the site, the side pane of every conversation shows what that person bought, read live from your store: no copy, no sync, no second login.

In the inbox #

The Purchases card in the side pane shows the person’s lifetime spend, their last order and, with EDD Software Licensing, each licence with its status and renewal date. All purchases opens the full list on their profile.

On the profile #

The Purchases tab of a person’s profile has:

  • Purchases: every paid order with its date, products, amount and status, and Open customer in EDD (or WooCommerce).
  • Licences and renewals (EDD Software Licensing): the product, the key, masked so only its first and last four characters show, the status, the renewal date and price, and the number of sites.
  • Subscriptions: WooCommerce Subscriptions or EDD Recurring, when one of them is active.

Who sees what #

  • Purchases show only for a person you know for sure: logged in with their WordPress account, or with an email address they proved (with a code or a link from your email). A visitor who only typed someone’s address never sees, and never shows you, that person’s orders. A new, unconfirmed address keeps purchases hidden until it is confirmed.
  • Seeing purchases needs the silc_view_purchases capability (administrators and Chat operators have it).
  • Revealing a full licence key needs silc_reveal_licence_keys (administrators). Each reveal is written to the audit log.
  • Purchases are read live and kept for ten minutes per person; a new sign-in or proof of an address reads them again at once.

What the AI does with it #

With Use what we know about logged-in people on (see The AI agent), the AI sees the licences, renewal dates, subscriptions and recent orders of a logged-in or verified visitor, for that visitor only, with keys masked. It can then answer “when does my licence renew?” without a person. An anonymous visitor asking about an order is asked to log in, or handed to your team.

The AI also quotes your current prices from the store (WooCommerce products and EDD downloads), so a price question gets today’s price, not one from an old page.
