Version 1.0.7 – October 12, 2026 #

• FixAutomatic renewals. A subscription’s first automatic renewal runs on its due date (until now only a manual renewal renewed it the first time). Subscriptions left overdue by this renew once at the next daily renewal run: one billing period is charged, never one for each missed period, and the next payment is one period after that day; a notice lists them. The daily run and “Charge now” never charge the same renewal twice, and subscriptions created through the REST API renew at their own billing period
• ImprovementPrices before the cart. A subscription’s price is shown on the product page before it is added to the cart (“Subscription, $60.00 / month”), and a membership’s price shows its billing period (“$29.99 / month”)
• FixStop renewing after. “Stop renewing after” works, and the Subscriptions settings read as short labels
• ImprovementManual renewals. Manual Renewal Processing shows a preview before it charges
• FixMemberships. “Membership type” decides what a membership grants; “Enable Membership?” is spelled right
• FixMy Account and orders. My Account shows subscription items only to the customers they are about, and the “Subscription Management” box shows only on subscription orders
• ImprovementAdmin screens. The rental queue pages have one primary action and sensible defaults; subscription and membership are in the product’s summary; on a phone the Subscriptions list names the customer, status and products; a deleted product is named by its order line
• ImprovementEmails. The subscription emails follow the rental emails’ pattern and preview with sample data
• FixCart line. A recurring cart line no longer shows a rental “Length” row
• FixSends from the rental queue. Send, Send next and the REST send refuse a unit that Maintenance & Inspections blocks (overdue for its service) and a posted serial number that is not in stock. Units sent with a service due are named on the queue’s Send screen and in the REST answer
• ImprovementSubscriptions menu. The Subscriptions menu has five entries with tabs; Subscription Settings is listed under “Elsewhere” in the grouped Rentals → Settings column (Lite 1.0.16 or later)
• ImprovementLicense page. This plugin’s License page (the License link on the Plugins screen) has the Rentals look: one panel with the key’s state, the key and its two buttons
• New featureLicenses. With Rentals & Bookings Regular 1.0.79 or later, this plugin’s license is also listed on Rentals → Settings → Advanced → Licenses: whether your main license covers it (asked of the store, not assumed) and a field for a key of its own. Its License link on the Plugins screen still works
• FixUpdates. No update notice when the key in use does not include this plugin (the download would fail with “Unauthorized”)

Version 1.0.6 – October 5, 2026 #

• New featureSend next for all. Rentals → Rental Queue Send has a “Send next for all” button: it sends every member with a free slot the next title in their queue that is in stock, after asking first, and one notice says what happened for each member (as in the Magento module)
• New featureCoupons on renewals. A coupon’s edit screen (General tab) has a new “Subscription renewals” box: “Also discounts subscription renewals”. A coupon now discounts the first order only unless it is ticked; before, every coupon’s discount was copied onto every renewal (“50% off your first month” took 50% off every month). Tick it on the coupons that should keep discounting renewals
• ImprovementUnified pricing (with Lite 1.0.13 and Regular 1.0.76): a billing period is priced as its interval, so a month is 30 days of the rates or the 1-month price point, the same every month. With “Use legacy pricing (deprecated)” on, the dates are priced as before
• ImprovementOne payment service. Renewals are charged through Rentals & Bookings Regular 1.0.76’s off-session payment service (the same one balances and rental extensions use), and every renewal and payment line is written to WooCommerce → Status → Logs
• ImprovementFree trials on orders. An order says “Free Trial: 2 Weeks” (in My Account, the emails and the admin) when the subscription started with a free trial
• ImprovementOwn licence key. This plugin has its own licence key field (“Licence” on the Plugins screen; left empty, the Regular edition’s key is used), and update and licence checks ask the store about this plugin’s own product, over https
• ImprovementCompatible with WooCommerce’s High-Performance Order Storage
• FixMemberships at checkout. A membership or any other subscription that is not a rental was removed from the cart at checkout (“can no longer be rented for dates”) since Rentals & Bookings Lite 1.0.9. Such lines no longer carry rental dates
• FixRefused hand-overs. A queue hand-over the Regular edition refuses (an unpaid balance, a missing signature, another location’s staff) is no longer marked sent: the reservation is freed, the title stays in the queue, and the screen says why
• FixSecurity. The Subscriptions list’s Delete actions and the rental queue’s Send, Return and Return-all actions require a security token and the shop manager capability
• FixA subscription’s first billing period is not refused by the product’s minimum or maximum rental length, which Lite 1.0.13 checks in the cart
• FixThe admin order screen no longer shows “_renewal_order: yes” on renewal lines

Version 1.0.5 – September 28, 2026 #

• ImprovementReady for Rentals & Bookings Lite 1.0.10 and Regular 1.0.74. The base plugin no longer names this plugin, so the plugin now answers the base plugin’s own hooks. Its screens keep the Rentals look and settings layout, membership orders and products stay out of the Bookings Calendar report, the Inventory Report keeps its Subscription column, a subscription’s dates are not remembered as the shop dates, and a subscription product cannot be set to stay by the night
• ImprovementThe Subscriptions menu sits right under Rentals

Version 1.0.4 – September 23, 2026 #

• ImprovementThe rental type is chosen on two cards. On a product offered both ways, “Please select Rental Type” and two plain radio buttons become a Pay once card and a Subscription billing card, each with an icon and a one-line explanation, in the product page’s accent colour; side by side on a computer, stacked on a phone
• FixNo more critical error on a site without Secure Custom Fields. Every front-end page failed with “Call to undefined function get_field()”, because the plugin started even though the booking engine it builds on had paused itself. It now starts only once Sales Igniter Rentals & Bookings Regular is running, and without it shows a notice saying what to install
• ImprovementThe plugin can be translated. Its text has its own translation domain and a template file, covering checkout, My Account, the email settings and the product fields. Before, no translation file could ever load, whatever language the site was in
• ImprovementThe My Account subscription and membership pages lay out correctly in right-to-left languages such as Arabic

Version 1.0.2 – September 18, 2026 #

• New featureA REST API for subscriptions, memberships and the rental queue, built on the same authentication as the Rentals & Bookings API. List, create, update, change status and delete, and move a queue entry to a different priority – so a subscription can be managed from your own software or a headless storefront
• FixCancelling a subscription now releases the bookings on its parent order. They stayed marked as booked, so stock that nobody was going to collect went on blocking the calendar
• FixThe five “Use Default …” switches on the product Subscriptions panel are hidden until Enable subscription is ticked. They used to appear on every product, offering to override settings that were not on screen
• CompatibilityThe plugin now uses the booking engine’s own prefixed copy of the Carbon date library instead of loading its own, which removes a class of conflict with other plugins that ship the same library

Version 1.0.1 – September 6, 2026 #

• ImprovementAdmin screens use the new Rentals design (requires Rentals & Bookings 1.0.60).
