ImprovementThe rental type is chosen on two cards. On a product offered both ways, “Please select Rental Type” and two plain radio buttons become a Pay once card and a Subscription billing card, each with an icon and a one-line explanation, in the product page’s accent colour; side by side on a computer, stacked on a phone
FixNo more critical error on a site without Secure Custom Fields. Every front-end page failed with “Call to undefined function get_field()”, because the plugin started even though the booking engine it builds on had paused itself. It now starts only once Sales Igniter Rentals & Bookings Regular is running, and without it shows a notice saying what to install
ImprovementThe plugin can be translated. Its text has its own translation domain and a template file, covering checkout, My Account, the email settings and the product fields. Before, no translation file could ever load, whatever language the site was in
ImprovementThe My Account subscription and membership pages lay out correctly in right-to-left languages such as Arabic

New featureA REST API for subscriptions, memberships and the rental queue, built on the same authentication as the Rentals & Bookings API. List, create, update, change status and delete, and move a queue entry to a different priority – so a subscription can be managed from your own software or a headless storefront
FixCancelling a subscription now releases the bookings on its parent order. They stayed marked as booked, so stock that nobody was going to collect went on blocking the calendar
FixThe five “Use Default …” switches on the product Subscriptions panel are hidden until Enable subscription is ticked. They used to appear on every product, offering to override settings that were not on screen
CompatibilityThe plugin now uses the booking engine’s own prefixed copy of the Carbon date library instead of loading its own, which removes a class of conflict with other plugins that ship the same library

ImprovementAdmin screens use the new Rentals design (requires Rentals & Bookings 1.0.60).
ImprovementRental Queue Send: the pick list and send history are buttons on the Send page; Rental Queue Return: return by customer and return history are buttons on the Return page. All four leave the Subscriptions menu but keep working from a direct link.
ImprovementSubscription settings page uses the same settings layout as Rentals & Bookings.
