Short answers to the questions asked most about Sales Igniter Bundles & Composites.
Do I need the rental plugin? #
No. Bundles work on a plain store. Rental bundles need Sales Igniter Rentals & Bookings Lite 1.0.17 or later.
What is the difference between a fixed item and a choice? #
A fixed item is one product, the same for every customer. A choice is a list of products the customer picks from. One bundle can hold both. See “Bundles and choices”.
Can customers build their own product? #
Yes. Use the Build your own starting point, or add choices to any bundle. Rules can hide options that do not go together.
Does it work with the Cart and Checkout blocks? #
Yes. The Cart, Checkout and Mini-Cart blocks, the classic cart and high-performance order storage are supported.
Can I move bundles made with another plugin? #
Yes, from the Product Bundles plugin and the Composite Products plugin. The importer changes products in place, with a dry run first and a rollback after. See the two switching guides. Product Bundles and Composite Products are trademarks of their owner. This plugin is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by them; the names are used only to say which data the importer reads.
Will my URLs, SKUs and stock stay the same? #
Yes. The product ID, URL, SKU, pictures, reviews and stock do not move.
What happens to old orders? #
They are never rewritten. They keep reading as they were written, in My Account, in the admin, in emails and in reports.
Can I undo an import? #
Yes. The old plugin’s data is never changed. Switch the old plugin back on, then roll back one product or all of them. Changes made in Bundles since the import are not kept.
What is not carried over by the import? #
Theme template overrides and code on the old plugin’s hooks. The dry run lists them with file and line.
Can the same stock be sold on two product pages? #
Yes. Make one product that holds the stock, then one bundle per listing, each holding that product hidden from customers. See “Stock and availability”.
Can I give a discount for buying more items? #
Yes. Use Quantity discounts in Bundle settings, or charge items at their own price minus a percent.
How do I ship the items in one box? #
In Bundle settings, set Shipping to “Ship as one package”.
Can staff change a bundle on an order? #
Yes. Configure on the bundle line changes the picks within the bundle’s rules, and Add item(s) adds a bundle’s items. Rental bundles also have a date editor and Swap item.
What does an expired licence do? #
It stops updates. Nothing locks, and the plugin sends no telemetry.
What happens to my data if I delete the plugin? #
Nothing is deleted by default: bundle products, their items, the import log and the order links stay, so reinstalling picks up where you left off. To remove it all, choose Remove all Bundles data under WooCommerce > Bundles > Settings > When the plugin is deleted, then delete the plugin. Bundle products and orders stay, but orders lose the links between a bundle and its items.
Does it work with my page builder? #
The product form is drawn by the plugin’s template, and it boots again when Elementor draws a widget. Templates can be overridden in your theme. See “Developers”.
