A tour is usually priced per guest, and guests are not all the same price: adults, children, seniors, students, or a type of your own such as “Youth 13-17”. A tour can also have one price for the whole party, and can be booked privately.
These settings are for products whose guests each take a seat (the Guests tab set to Each guest takes one place (seats)). The guest types themselves are explained in Guest types and guest fees.
Seniors, students and your own guest types #
- Open Rentals › Settings › Guests.
- Under Guest types, tick the types you use: Children, Infants, Pets, and now Seniors, Students, Own type 1, Own type 2 and Own type 3. Adults are always asked for.
- Name your own types under Own guest type 1 to 3 (“Youth”). A type without a name is not asked.
- Optional: the small line under each type, such as Age note for seniors (“Ages 65 or above”), Note for students (“With a student card”) or Note for own type 1 (“Ages 13-17”).
- Click Save.
A product can choose its own guest types on its Guests tab instead.
A price per guest type #
On the product’s Guests tab, each type has a price next to the child price:

An own type’s price shows only when the type has a name and the product asks for it. On the product page, the guest picker lists each type with its age note, and the price shows a line per type.
A group price #
On the Guests tab, Group price gives one price for the whole party instead of a price per guest:

Private bookings #
With For private bookings, the product page asks How you book: Join the group (priced per guest) or Book it privately (up to 8 guests, from $320).
- The total on the product page follows the choice. A private party pays the price for its size once: 6 guests pay $320.00, not 6 × $320.
- In the cart and the order, the line keeps a seat per guest, and its total is the party’s price.
- A private booking takes the whole departure: nobody else can book it, and it leaves the calendar.
- A departure that others have booked can’t be booked privately any more: “Other guests have booked this departure, so it can no longer be booked privately.”
- The order, the emails and My Account say Booking: Private, and so does the manifest.
