Release history for the Smart Routing plugin. The newest release is listed first.

Version 1.1.3 – November 4, 2026 #
  • FixWithout Rentals & Bookings Regular, the stops in the REST API (GET stops) for a day, from or to that is not a real day (today, 2026-11, 2026-02-30) are none, instead of an error on MySQL 8; a schedule day that does not exist opens today.
Version 1.1.2 – October 27, 2026 #
  • New featureThe wording customers see from this plugin (the delivery and pick-up wording it shows on its own, the driver’s screens and the route emails) is on the Text screen: Rentals → Settings → Text, beside Rentals & Bookings Lite 1.0.21 or Regular 1.0.85. Search for the words, type your own, and each language keeps its own wording. Without Rentals & Bookings the screen is WooCommerce → Text, and a “Text” link on this plugin’s settings opens it.
Version 1.1.1 – October 23, 2026 #
  • New featureTranslations. Translated into 17 languages, reviewed language by language: Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Romanian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. German uses the formal “Sie”. WordPress picks the language of your site or of each user’s profile
Version 1.1.0 – October 20, 2026 #

Works on its own for shops that only sell, or with Sales Igniter Rentals & Bookings for WooCommerce Regular 1.0.80 or later (1.0.82 recommended).

  • New featureSmart Routing works without Rentals & Bookings Regular. It carries a copy of Regular’s delivery (the same settings, areas, stops and tables): the Deliveries menu (or Rentals with Lite) with Settings, Delivery areas, Schedule and Routes; the day and slot at checkout and our Delivery shipping option; its own vehicles on the Routes page; Delivered completes the order; the delivery day on the order and its emails; a License tab in its settings. Beside Regular nothing changes: Regular’s delivery runs and Smart Routing uses it as before.
  • New featureAdding Regular later moves your vehicles into Staff & resources and keeps today’s and later routes on them; removing Regular keeps a copy of its vehicles so the routes still match.
  • New featureOn its own, a shopper whose address is outside every delivery area is told why at the cart and checkout (classic and block).
  • New featureOn its own, the Delivery day and time slot can be chosen on the classic cart page as well as at checkout.
  • New featureAn opt-in to delete the delivery data when Smart Routing is deleted (never while Regular is installed).
  • ImprovementThe screens, notices, reports and route board say “vehicle” instead of “van”, for shops that deliver by truck, car or bike too.
  • FixThe postcode no longer shows twice in the stop’s address on the route board, in the “Your delivery window” email and in the driver’s map link.
  • FixThe Schedule drawer’s history shows times in the store’s time zone, not UTC.
  • FixThe Schedule’s Driver list shows only people who can drive (the Driver role, or a role given it), not every administrator and shop manager; a route keeps its current driver.
  • FixNo “translation loading triggered too early” notice when customers are told their window at a set hour.
Version 1.0.1 – October 16, 2026 #

The first release. Needs Sales Igniter Rentals & Bookings for WooCommerce Regular 1.0.80 or later with delivery & pickup on.

  • ImprovementNew admin menu. With Rentals & Bookings Regular 1.0.81, Delivery schedule and Routes are tabs of Rentals → Send & Return (while delivery & pickup is on); Ctrl+K opens them too
  • ImprovementLicense. Beside Rentals & Bookings Regular 1.0.81 this plugin is on the one Licenses screen (Rentals → Settings → Licenses): Included when your package covers it, else with a key of its own. An expired key keeps it working; only updates are paused. Its own License page leads there. Used without Regular, nothing changes
  • New featurePlan the day. Rentals → Routes shares the day’s deliveries and collections between your vans and puts each van’s stops in order, inside the customers’ slots and within each van’s load (units, kg, m³), features and shift
  • New featureThe route board. A column per van with its timeline and load, a map, the stops that couldn’t be placed and why; lock a stop to its van, drag stops between vans or use Move to (keyboard too), then Accept plan. The routes show on Rentals → Schedule, each stop with the window the customer is told, and Send to drivers sends them to the driver app
  • New featureRentals → Schedule. Every delivery and collection by day and route (board, list and week): drag a stop to a route or use the Move menu, change a stop’s slot, set the route order with undo, print run sheets (with each stop’s planned window and a load list) and export Routific and OptimoRoute CSV. A day sheet email goes out each morning per location (its settings are under Rentals → Settings → Delivery & pickup)
  • New featureDriver app. Drivers open your shop’s /driver/ page on their phone (sign in with the new Driver role or as a shop manager; add it to the home screen to install it): today’s routes, the run in stop order with each planned window, and per stop the customer, address, items and notes, Navigate (Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze), Call and Text, On my way, Arrived, Delivered (who took it, a signature, a note, up to 3 photos) and Couldn’t deliver (with a reason), then End route with a summary. It keeps working without a signal and sends every tap, in order, when the signal is back. Each tap writes the stop’s status and time and an order note; the Schedule gives each route its driver and shows the actual time, why a stop failed, who received it, the signature and the photos. When the office changes a sent route, the app says what changed (“Route changed: stop 5 added”) and shows the new order. Signatures and photos are kept private (never a public file under uploads)
  • New featureThe driver app moves the stock. Delivered marks the stop’s rentals sent, as Rentals → Send would, and a collection is marked returned when the driver taps End route back at the depot, so late fees and the early-return setting count from it. A paid sale-only order is marked Completed when it is delivered (a setting, on by default). Couldn’t deliver moves nothing. The filter sibooking_driver_moves_stock turns it off
  • New featurePlanner. The built-in planner, or an external one (openrouteservice or your own VROOM server; the built-in planner steps in when it can’t answer). Travel times by road through Delivery by Distance’s routing service when it has one, else straight lines. Settings: default shift, average speed, road factor, lateness, least time or fewest kilometres
  • New featureCustomer windows. Email customers their half-hour window when the routes are sent, or on the day at a set hour
  • New featureReports. Rentals → Routes → Reports per day and van: stops split into rental and sale, done, failed, kilometres, driving time, stops per hour and planned on time, with CSV; each van’s start, return, kilometres and driving time on the run sheets
  • New featureFor developers. The filter sibooking_run_sheet_route_meta, the actions sibooking_driver_stop_action and sibooking_driver_route_action, and the Schedule’s REST routes (/schedule, /stops, /routes)
  • New featureUpdates. Updates with a license key (an empty key uses your Rentals & Bookings Regular key when it includes Smart Routing)
